How We Got Started

 

 

"When we both became teachers we supplemented our income by tutoring. We immediately found that our day jobs as teachers had prepared us perfectly for tutoring and as a result, we were very effective tutors. Through parent referrals, we became very busy and found that parents not only wanted tutors to come to their home, they particularly wanted teachers. Our business continued to grow and we could no longer take on new families. We realized that through our professional connections we could compile a list of effective local teachers. As a result, 'the A list' was born where parents in York Region can easily find local tutors who are certified and effective teachers."
